Attendees Present: Dave Leary; Chairman, Charlotte Falkner; Clerk,
Lynne McDomell, Danielle Fish, Caren Levine

Kathy Codella, Assistant to the Recreation Director
1. The meeting was called to order at 12:00 PM.
r 2. Approval of Minutes:
Minutes of the Recreation Commission Meeting held on September 30, 2002.
Motion: By Lynne McDonnell to accept the minutes from September 30, 2002.
Seconded by Charlotte Falkner. All in favor. Motion passes, 5-0.
3. Fleet Center Performances:
The Commission members discuss and agree to the following dates and times:
A. A Royal Christmas
Sunday, December 15,2002,3:00 PM
Ticket Prices are $27.00 or $67.00
B. 1 00 Years of Disney Magic
Friday, December 27,2002, 11 :00 AM
Ticket Prices are $19.00

C. Tickets will be offered for The Wright Brothers on Monday, December 30, 2002, at 9:00 AM
r and 10:30 AM free of charge at the Robinson Elementary School.
4. Tabled:
A. The program participant policy fur the Americans with Disabilities Act is on hold.
B. Lorilee is cWTently working on the COVer and final draft to be used with the state
regarding the Open Space Recreation Plan. The Recreation Commission will send a letter
to Dick Lewis stating COmmission agreement with the draft plan.

6. Old Business:

None.
7. New Business:
A. The Commission review the memo sent to Margaret Conaty from Lee Azinbeira defining
moderate use of the Lower Pmctice Field at Memorial Park as not more than two times
per week with no consecutive days of use. Dave Lemy would like a letter of intent from
Margaret Conaty regarding:
A. field use scheduling
B. any deviation from this scheduling must COme befure the Mansfield Recreation
Commission for approval
B. The Commission review the memo from John D' Agostino regarding use of the Lower
Practice Field at Memorial Park. Penney Engineero,g bas reported the Lower Pmctice
Field can only be utilized at a "limited use".
Motion: By Charlotte Falkner to accept the limited use of the Lower Pmctice Field as
suggested by Penney Engineering. Seconded by Lynne McDonnell.
All in favor. Motion passes, 4-1.
