production expense was $1,356k. Net income for the month was $270k while net
(" increase to surplus was $230k. CFO Stoyle anticipates a loss for May which will be
made up for in the summer months of air conditioning. Director Beliveau explained that
more power was purchased in May than was used during that month which resulted in a
loss.

CFO Stoyle gave a major projects update. She is currently narrowing down the choices
for E-Billing, including looking at what the town is offering. Set-up for the service for
monthly automatic credit card payments is complete.
Engineer Ann Langille gave a plant and equipment update. She stated that both the
storage expansion at Gilbert S1. Substation and the West S1. expansion project are about
to be completed. Completion of the N. Main S1. project should be approximately
June/July as Verizon does not have enough help to keep up with the work. Foreman
Gary D'Ambra stated that he sees the Verizon trucks moving around but does not see any
work being done on N. Main S1. Director Beliveau added that the Light Dept could take
over the poles but there are other factors to be considered such as loss of revenue for the
Town. Engineer Langille said that the Light Dept is in good shape in regards to the
School S1. and Elm S1. bridges. Director Beliveau inquired if any of the poles were on
private property? Foreman D' Ambra responded no and stated that easements were
obtained last year. Chairman MacCaffrie asked that this be investigated and the results
(' be sent to Verizon so that they would continue with their work.
