The Town Manager has requested a Planning Board member be present for this meeting. 9. Public Discussion Leonard Flynn, 102 Jewell Street, questioned whether anyone had done an_ analysis on the long -term cost to the Town to maintain retention /detention areas. Mr. Flynn feels this should be done. Mr. Flynn also raised the issue of bartering between developers and the Planning Board as far as trading off for subdivisions regulations, specifically asphalt berms in place of granite curbs. Mr. Flynn stated he feels the granite curbing is far more beneficial to the Town as it has an infinite lifespan and also aids in channeling the water to the drains in the road, which benefits the groundwater. Omission of sidewalks in subdivisions could also raise problems in the future when homeowners petition the Town to install these sidewalks. 10. Meeting adjourned at 11:20 P.M. CLERK L. r DATE
