Mr. Ben Hampton, Business Manager, Mansfield Public Schools,
joined the Planning Board for a discussion of "Municipal
Building Recycling and Rehabilitation ". Also joining in this
discussion was Mr. Steve MacCaffrie of the Municipal Building
Committee. Discussions involved possible use for existing
elementary school buildings which will not be continued as
educational facilities. Park Row Elementary School has out-
lived its usefulness as an educational facility and may pos-
sibly serve as a municipal building some time in the future.
The Roland Green building has also outlived its usefulness as
an educational facility, but is structurally sound as a
building. The John Berry building and /or the Paine building
should be maintained by the Town as an educational facility.
The Paine School is currently being used for collaborative
education. The Spaulding School comes under the jurisdiction
of the Board of Selectmen and the School Department has no
interest in this building as an educational facility.
