1. Meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M.

2. Planning Session
John Rhind, Director, Department of Public_ Works
As at previous planning sessions, possible usage of the
library building was discussed along with necessary improve-
ments to the building. Mr. Rhind also informed the Board
that he has started a program to upgrade the Town Hall. Next
year's budget will include replacement of the rugs at the far
end of the Town Hall. Capital Improvement budget includes
replacement of the heaters and air conditioning and the
roofs. Mr. Rhind stated that the situation at the highway
garage is very .bad, especially since the Town voted down any
additions to the garage this year. The fire at the garage
was two years ago this month and the Town has been unsuccess-
ful in getting bids in. Bids will go out again for the roof
of the fuel depot. Mr. Rhind has applied for a State grant.
The old car wash building was donated to the Town and will be
used for office space at the highway garage. Discussion was
held regarding availability of space should the Police
Department move. Mr. Rhind feels that if the Police Depart-
ment and the Electric Department were to move from the Town
Hall building, there would be adequate space for the remain-
ing departments.
