4. 8:10 P.M. - Workshop
Robert E. Powers, Subdivision Supervisor, presented Planning Board members with
a list of seventeen streets (see attached) which Bob feels could be considered
for acceptance by Town Meeting. ( *Planner Madan entered the meeting at 8:15
P.M.) Bob explained that some of these roads had only minor improvements to be
made and, if completed by Town Meeting, could be included an the warrant for ac-
ceptance. A determination will be made as to the length of time the top coat
will have been down an many of these streets by Town Meeting. The Planning
Board discussed writing the articles on each of these streets to be submitted
for the warrant. Any that are not completed in time will be pulled from the
warrant at Town Meeting in April.
A lengthy discussion was held as to proper procedures to follow for street ac-
ceptance, including length of time between final inspection of the roads and ac-
ceptance by Town Meeting.
Bob Powers explained an organizational chart which he prepared (see attached)
for review by the Planning Director and the Planning Board. This chart outlines
the responsibilities of the Planning Department, Planning Board and Town En-
gineer for subdivision procedures.
Bob,reviewed possible procedures for release of bonds and the 10% contingency.
Motion: Send a letter to the Board of Selectmen notifying them that the Plan-
ning Board expects to be in a position to make a recommendation at
Town Meeting on the following streets (to be listed). The Board feels
these streets likely will be ready for acceptance by Town Meeting.

made. Please include this on the Warrant. Please hold a public
hearing.

"Agriculture" to be change to "Agricultural /Rural Residential ". The Board dis-
cussed using buffers between residential subdivisions and any existing business
in the agricultural district.
