Covenant for "Whitetail Acres" and a sketch for the proposed redesign of the
Otis /School Street intersection which is not signed by an engineer.
At this time, the Planning Board discussed whether or not to sign the plan for
"Whitetail Acres ". The sketch submitted was to be reviewed by department heads
before approval by the Planning Board. The twenty day extension of the appeal
period granted to the applicant has expired. Mr. Eugene Boyle, applicant, spoke
to the Planning Board at this time and stated he had a great deal of trouble
finding someone to do this design and due to the fact the additional twenty day
period of time has expired, presented this sketch (which was designed by Bay
Colony Surveying) to the Board. Board members held a lengthy discussion as to
whether this sketch could be accepted due to the fact it was not prepared by a
traffic engineer and was not reviewed by the Police Chief, Fire Chief and Plan-
ning Director as stated in the conditions of approval. Also, this plan is not
stamped by an engineer. The Board discussed adding wording to the Covenant to
hold lots until a plan is submitted prepared by a traffic engineer and approved
by the Town.

to be on this committee. Planner McClanahan stated he would like to be on the
committee again as he was a member last year. Chairman Annino will make a deci-
sion at next week's meeting.
Community Development Director LaCasse discussed possible cases where the Plan-
ning Board might want to grant waivers for the road length when it is more than
650'. Mike specifically mentioned the subdivisions being proposed off Route
106. Patrolman Lance Lawson had recommended that the Planning Board try to cut
down on some of the entrance /exits on Route 106. By reducing entrance /exits,
the roadways would then be longer than 650'. Waiving the roadway length in this
instance would be to the best interest of the Town for safety reasons.
