MINUTES[
NOVEMBER 5, 1985
The Board of Appeals held its regular meeting in the Town Hall, Mansfield
MA at 7:45pm. Present at the hearings were the following members:
George H. Wojtkiewicz, Chairman; Eric E. Butler, Clerk; Conley G. Eagan;
Associate Members John; L Riccio and Leonard F. Flynn.
The hearing for Dairy -Mart Inc. for a Variance from Section IV Schedule B
of the Zoning By -Law for an addition to property at 157 Pratt Street
was continued from October 15, 1985. The applicant submitted drawings
of the proposed building sign and the proposed pole sign. There was
opposition noted from abutters. The hearing closed at 8 :50pm.
The hearing for William G. McGrane for a Variance from Section IV
Schedule B of the Zoning By -Law to constuct an addition to an existing
single family dwelling at 796 Maple Street, was continued from it's originally
scheduled date of September 3, 1985. Mr. Riccio was appointed a voting
member in place_of Mr. Collins and Mr. Flynn appointed in place of Mrs.
Holm. The applicant presented a plan of land prepared by Bruce W. Malcolm,
Registered Professional Land Surveyor as Exhibit "C ", drawing of existing
house andproposed addition as Exhibit "D ". A letter was received from
Mr. & Mrs, Bruce Martin, 802 MapleStreet, which stated they have no
objections to the addition. The hearing closed at 9:08pm.
The vote on Dairy -Mart will be postponed until Mr. Collins is present.
Motion made by Mr. Eagan and seconded by Mr. Riccio to approve the variance
for William McGrane. Mr. Eagan, Mr. Riccio, Mr. Butler in favor; Mr. Flynn
and Mr. Wojtkiewicz opposed. The variance failed.
Minutes of October 1 and October 15, 1985 were read and approved.
Bills were signed.
Next meeting will be November 19, 1985.
Meeting adjourned at 9 :30pm.
