MINUTES
JULY 11, 1959
The Board of Appeals held its regular meeting in the Town
Hall, Mansfield, MA at 7245 P.M. Present at the hearing were
the following members: George H. Wojtkiewic , Chairman;
Mary Lou Cotton, Acting Clerk in place of Edward W.
Valan ola; Dr. Stanley Sohn and Peter DeTrolio, Associate
Member, voting in place of Eric Butler.
The hearing for Phil Corbett (Keith Development Corp.) of
Stoughton for a Variance from Section V.H.5.b.3 of the Zoning
By- -Law to erect an off- -site directional sign at the corner of
Oakland Street and Francis Avenue, said sign to be larger -
than allowed in the Industrial Zone, was continued from May
16, IVOR , June 6;, 1989, June 20, 1989 and began at 7:4£7 P.M.
The application was labeled as Exhibit "A ", newspaper
advertisement as Exhibit "B" and Plan of Land dated May 10,
1988, (latest revision dated June 29, 1959), prepared by RIM
Engineering Co., Inc. of Mansfield as Exhibit "C ". There was
no Planning Board recommendation on this application,
Mr. Fred Lappin represented the applicant and chose to
proceed with the hearing with a four member board. The
applicant's grounds for Variance were read into the record.
Mr-. Lappin explained the necessity for the sign for
directional purposes.
There were no comments from any abutters. The hearing closed
at 7:59 P.M.
Board members waived the reading of the minutes of June 20,
1989 til the next meeting.
Motion made by Dr. Sohn and seconded by Mrs. Cotton to grant
the Variance for Phil Corbett (Keith Development Corp.) to
erect an off -site directional sign (i feet x 4 feet) at the
corner of Oakland Street and Francis Avenue in accordance
with the plans submitted. Unanimously granted.
Decisions were signed for Colel.la and Wheeler-.
Bills were signed.
Meeting ajourned at 8:15 P.M.
