The chair read the public hearing notice for the reconstruction of existing roadways and
associated work within 100 feet of a wetland resource area.
There were no representatives from the Town of Mansfield present at 8:20 p.m.
Ms. Flass noted the Light Department has built right up to the culvert, and there are
automobiles and other equipment stored on that site. Mr. Boyden said perhaps some sort
of barrier around the site would provide the necessary protection in case of a leak; Ms.
Flass said she would like to see some green space on the site.
Mr. Boyden said he had spoken with Mr. Clemmey, who said he would like to resolve the
Walnut Street issue. Mr. Boyden said Mr. Clemmey told him no fill was ever brought
out of that site, but is stored behind Home Depot.
Mr. Bean informed the commission he would be out of town July 25-August 9.
The commission discussed the finalists for the Environmental and Conservation Planner
position Mr. Boyden said he had spoken with Mr. Burke about hiring someone
knowledgeable who will be able to conduct enforcement activities. Mr. Bean said that

Mr. Boyden showed the commission photographs of Fulton's Pond, which seem to show

Street area.
