Mangiaratti, met with the MBC to discuss legal options to release Keyes Associates from
further involvement with the Mansfield School Projects.
• Wallace Floyd can not assume responsibilities of the Keyes contract due to the
Designer Selection procedure for public bid work.
• Mr. Mangiaratti advised the MBC of a clause within the existing contract that allows
Keyes to assign certain rights to WFDG under the service contract provided all
parties agree (i.e. Town of Mansfield, Keyes and Wallace Floyd).
• MBC expressed unanimous support to have WFDG assigned to assume the role of
primary architect due to their current involvement with the MHS Project.
• Bob Mangiaratti to prepare draft of a Assignment of Service Agreement and forward
to Wallace Floyd for review.
• Suggestion then made to amend the contract to include scope for remaining work on
both schools. Mr. Mangiaratti recommended the MBC use a flat fee arrangement.
• Town Counsel will contact SBAB to ensure proper procedures are being followed so
that reimbursement eligibility is maintained.
