BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING - JANUARY 7, 2006 P
Attendance: Nancy Breef -Pilz; Chris Cormier Hayes; Leonard, pstd nj,�o$e Ynn.
The Director, Janet Campbell, was also present. Joe convened the mating at 8:30 a.m. in the
Certuse Room of the Mansfield Public Library.
Secretary's report. Minutes of the December meeting were reviewed and approved.
Treasurer's report. The Treasurer's Report was reviewed and approved. The board
reviewed with gratitude the numerous gifts by former Trustee Vivian Sweet, and in particular a
recent $500 contribution, a portion of which will be used for the forthcoming January 19 program
on Asperger's Syndrome.
Librarian's report. The Librarians' Reports were reviewed and highlights discussed.
OLD BUSINESS
Conference Room Expansion /Staff Office. Joe reported on a recent meeting with
Andy Gazzola (Finance Commission) during which they discussed the possibility of partial Town
funding of the library's planned floor plan modifications.
FY 2007 Budget. The board reviewed the draft budget and discussed the forthcoming
January 12 Department Heads meeting. Increased heat and electrical expenses were noted.
NEW BUSINESS
Meeting Room issues. Various minor problems relating to the meeting room were
reviewed.
Legislative breakfast. Janet reported on the upcoming March 21 annual library
legislative breakfast.
Next meeting. February 4, 2006. The meeting was &dj-o-tyned at 10:35 a.m.
