Attendance: Nancy Breef -Pilz; Joseph Flynn; John Walgreen. The Director, Janet
Campbell, was also present. Joe Flynn convened the meeting at 8:30 a.m, in the Certuse Room of
the Mansfield Public Library.
Secretary's report. The minutes of the October meeting were not yet available.
Treasurer's report. The Treasurer's Report was not yet available.
Librarian's report. The Librarians' Reports were reviewed and highlights discussed. No
library issues are on the agenda for the forthcoming special town meeting. The HVAC system
continues to have minor problems. Janet was a featured speaker at the recent NELA meeting,
discussing the library's genre project funded by the readers' advisory grant obtained several
months ago. Janet reported that the recent Friends' book sale was very successful.
OLD BUSINESS
FY 2008 budget. Janet discussed her preparations for the annual budget cycle which will
soon start.
NEW BUSINESS
Patriot Act policy. The board discussed the need to prepare a written policy covering
authorities' requests for records pursuant to the Patriot Act.
Next meeting. December 2, 2006.
