BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING - JANUARY 8, 2011
Attendance: Nancy Breef -Pilz, Joe Flynn, Chris Cormier- Hayes, Leonard Epstein, John Walgreen,
and Director Janet Campbell. Joe convened the meeting at 8:10 a.m.
Secretary's report. Minutes of the November meeting were reviewed and approved.
Treasurer's report. The treasurer's report for November was reviewed and approved.
Librarian's reports. The librarians' reports were reviewed and details discussed.
OLD BUSINESS
FY 2012 budget. The board reviewed the draft budget, discussing the proposal to reinstate Sunday
hours and replace Kristin's position.
Microfilm reader. The library is awaiting delivery of the new microfilm reader and table. The
board approved the library's $500 purchase of a license to use the microfilm computer to also download e-
books.
LSTA ¢rant. Janet and Mary will be attending a workshop next week for help and guidance in
preparing the library's LSTA grant application.
NEW BUSINESS
Gifts. Recent gifts were reviewed, including a $1,000 donation from a patron (who wishes to remain
anonymous) who had learned of the library's reduced budget.
Design update. Joe updated the board on his re- design of the children's room which will be adding
500 linear feet of shelf space.
Next meeting. February 5, 2011. The meeting was adjourned at 9:50.
