BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING - NOVEMBER 17, 2014
Attendance: Nancy Breef -Pilz, Clods Cormier- Hayes, Leonard Epstein, Joe Flynn, John
Walgreen and Director Catherine Coyne. Joe convened the meeting at 6:00 p.m.
Secretary's report. Minutes of the September 27, 2014 meeting were reviewed.
Treasurer's report. The treasurer's report was summarized and approved.
Librarians' reports. The librarians' reports were reviewed and highlights discussed,
particularly recent circulation patters of various media.
OLD BUSINESS
Computers. The new public access computer area is being finalized.
NEW BUSINESS
FY2016 budget. The initial draft of the new budget was discussed. The board
recommended increasing the budget for professional development.
Saturdays. Cathie reported some recent questions concerning differential pay rates when a
staff member scheduled to work on Saturday has taken that day as vacation or personal leave.
Catherine will clarify the personnel policy to make it clear that Saturday differential pay rates will
only apply to shifts actually worked.
Holiday hours. The board approved closing at 5:00 on November 26, 12:00 p.m. on
December 24, and 3:00 p.m. on December 31.
Next meeting. December 15 (tentative). The meeting was adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
