Present: Anne Alzapiedi, Robert Naismith, Barbara Orlando, Marilyn
Powers, and Nancy Surdel
1. Meeting was called to order at 6:15 p.m.
2. Minutes from May 2, 1990 were accepted as printed by
Powers / Naismith.
3. Discussion regarding whether an invitation should be made to
Russell Verney to speak about the comprehensive permit issue. Mr.
Verney has approached several committee members about speaking to the
committee and is employed as a consultant for Gary Forget. Discussion
will be continued at next meeting if all members are present at that
time.
4. Marilyn Powers told the committee that she has been in contact with
Allyson Nelson. Ms. Nelson is President Elect of the newly formed
Depot I & II Tenants Association. It was suggested that we send a
letter to Ms. Nelson to welcome her to attend our meetings, especially
if they had any specific discrimination issues that they would like us
to address.
5. Qualters Middle School presented the committee with 10 posters for
the final judging. Grand Prize was awarded to Stacey Mullin, with
Megan Shea, First, Rachele Caturano, Second and Jeff Farley, Third
runners up. Awards to be presented at Qualters Middle School on
Friday, June 8, 1990 at 9:45 a.m.
Meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 18, 1990 at 6:00 pm.
