Present: Anne Alzapiedi., David Clemmey, Barbara Orlando, and Nancy
Surdel
1. Meeting was called to order at 6:05 p.m.
2. Minutes from January 16, 1991 were accepted as printed
Clemmey / Surdel.
3. Barbara opened discussion on the issue of possibly starting some
type of fund raising project. She has some information about lapel
pins that could be ordered and sold. She questioned Anne about the
committee's ability to raise funds. Barbara wanted to know if the
members of the committee felt that this was a valid project. There
doesn't seem to be support for this activity at this time.
4. Barbara will continue to try to schedule a speaker from the
District Attorney's office. As she has had some difficulty with the
Norfolk County D.A. she may try to reach someone at the Bristol County
Office.
5. Anne still has not heard anything (positive /negative) about the
Fair Housing Plan.
6. There was a brief discussion about running another poster contest
in the spring.
7. The resignation of Robert Naismith, dated February 2, 1991, was
submitted to the chair. Anne will submit copies to the Board of
Selectman and the Town Clerk so the position can be posted and filled.
8. Possible new members were discussed.
Meeting adjourned at 6:35 p.m.
The next meeting is scheduled for Wed., April 10, 1991 at 6:00 pm.
