FAIR HOUSING COMMITTEE
MINUTES
July 8, 1992
PRESENT: Chairman Barbara Orlando, Clerk Nancy Surdell, Marilyn
Powers, Shaun P. Burke, Fair Housing Director
1. Meeting called to order at 6:27 P.M.
2. Minutes of April 29, 1992 and May 20, 1992
MOTION: To accept the minutes of April 29, 1992 as corrected.
(Powers- Surdell) All in favor. PASSES.
MOTION: To accept the minutes of May 20, 1992 as corrected.
(Powers- Surdell) All in favor. PASSES.
3. Old Business
A. Guest Speaker Susan Johnson
Chairman Orlando suggested a thank you note be sent to Susan
Johnson for speaking at the May 20, 1992 Fair Housing meeting.
B. Selectmen Presentation of Awards to Poster Contest Winners
A corrected Letter of Commendation has been delivered to Stacy
Sheridan.
4. New Business
A. Fair Housing Plan Update
Fair Housing plan goals will be looked at in the fall.
5. Correspondence
Discussion of correspondence from South Shore Housing regarding the
Town designating South Shore Housing as its rehab agency, in order
to access MHFA Home Improvement Loa4 Program funds.
During the discussion, it was suggested that the Selectmen find out
what rehab agency surrounding cities and towns use other than South
Shore Housing to see if their agency would be better suited for
Mansfield's needs. It was also suggested that a letter be sent to
the Selectmen because we have passed the South Shore deadline date.
