Shaun P. Burke, Fair Housing Director
1. Poster Contest
Linda Swallow at the Qualters Middle School has not
confirmed the time frame for the poster contest, nor has
Mr. Burke received a response to his letter concerning
when he is slated to speak to her class.
2. DMR
Diane Rodriguez from DMR has not called Mr. Burke back
concerning a meeting. At the last meeting, the committee
discussed having Diane or a representative from DMR
conduct a meeting concerning their role in the community.
3. Speakers
Mr. Burke is working on obtaining a speaker from the
following two agencies: MCAD and the District Attorney's
office concerning investigations of discrimination
issues. (How to avoid issues escalating to the point
where the DA's office has to get involved.)
Once these meetings are confirmed, Shaun will invite
local Fair Housing Committees. The committee will also
request the local cable station tape the discussions, in
order to provide public education.
