Attendees Present: Kevin Kemp; Chairman, Ed Westhaver; Clerk, Paul Mordarski,
Mitch Bregnard
Lorilee Fish, Park & Recreation Director
1. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM.
2. Minutes of the Recreation Commission Meeting held on March 15, 2010.
Motion: By Paul Mordarski to approve the minutes held on March 15, 2010 as
written. Seconded by Mitch Bregnard. Motion passes, 4 -0.
3. Facility Request:
- Lacrosse has requested use of Memorial Park for one make up game.
- All other requests have been submitted, approved, pending receipt of all necessary
paper work and insurance information.
4. Old Business:
A. The Youth Baseball contract has yet to be signed as they have to meet with the
Conservation Commission. The overnight tournament has been cancelled for this year but
will be revisited for 2011.
B. Reorganization of the office is ongoing and should be completed in May.
5. New Business:
A. Summer Camp registration began on March 1 and is coming in slowly.
B. Head Counselor interviews are scheduled for April 28.
C. Mansfield Clean Up Day is scheduled for May 1.
D. The Relay Market Place will be sponsored by Parks & Recreation and will be held on
May 22. Fees are $10.00 per table to offset the cost of hiring a police detail.
E. The Swarm has been permitted field use for two dates. Fees are discussed and the
Commission agree to the following, $50.00 per event at $20.00 per day field maintenance
fee.
F. Volunteers are needed for the Fishing Derby from 7:00 -9:00 for setup and registration at
the police station.
6. Next Commission Meetine: Monday, May 17, 2010 6:00 PM.
To be held at the Town Hall.
7. Motion: By Mitch Bregnard to adjourn. Seconded by Paul Mordarski.
Motion passes, 4 -0.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:30 PM.
