Leslie reported that the Commission has been awarded a matching grant from
the Mass Historic Commission's Preservation Projects fund to evaluate structural
problems at the Fisher - Richardson House. The award letter mentions an amount
of $7000 rather than the $7900. Leslie will call the MHC and inquire and provide
them with a written acceptance of the grant. She will also attend a workshop for
project coordinators on October 13. Architects Turk, Tracey and Larry have
written a letter of congradulations, offering their services.

The remainder of the meeting was spent on the revision of the Fisher-
( Richardson House brochure. Other ideas to enhance public access to the house
such as an answering machine which announces hours, etc and a sign at the coiner
of School Sheet and Willow Street was discussed. Perhaps these items can be
funded from the Commission's annual budget from the town. Kate will contact the
Mansfield Historical Society and the Parks and Recreation Dept for their input.
The next meeting will be Tuesday, October 27 at 7:30 pm.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:55 pm. Motion by Gean, seconded by John.
All in favor.
Respectfully submitted,
