1. Letter to Town Manager concerning insurance coverage of the contents of the
Fisher - Richardson House
2. Year -to -date budget report from Town Accountant
3. Notice of Community Preservation Day from Office of Environmental Affairs
4. Copy of letter from Mass Historical Commission to Carr Research Labs
concerning a project notification form for a single home on Shannon Lane
5. Flyer on Dept of Environmental Management grants
6. Issue of Preservation Advocate
7. Letter to DPW concerning fire extinguishers at Fisher - Richardson House
Historic districts and plaques to commemorate the National Register status of
Memorial Hall and the Fisher - Richardson House were discussed.
Leslie updated everyone on the grant project at the Fisher - Richardson House.
Claire Dempsey seems to be on schedule with her work and her first report is due
November 15. She is looking for photos of the house other than those from
SPNEA. The historical society probably has some.
The budget for FY 2001 was discussed. It was decided to budget for
$6500 - -$1500 for plaques and $5000 for expenses relating to the house. Leslie
will submit the budget to the Town Manager. Kevin said the sign for the
Fisher - Richardson House blew down on South Main Street. After discussion, it
was decided to have Leslie get an estimate to fix that sign and make a new one for
the corner of Willow and School Streets. Gean suggested the Commission fund
container plants for the spring rather than those planted in the ground, which can
rot the foundation.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 pm on a motion by Gean. 2nd by David.
All in favor. The next meeting will be Tuesday, November 30 at 7:30 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
