If an alarm is sounded, the Police Department is contacted immediately and dispatches a patrol car to check the house. However, someone from the com inission will also be contacted to re -set the alarm; Mi•. McNatt said he usually does it the next day. Mrs. Parks and Mr. Sheaff volunteered to be emergency contacts. Mn MCNatt will supply the commission with a key and the alam code. Town Manager John D'Agostino explained that while he does not feel keeping the security system on the Fisher- Richardson House is really necessary because it is empty, he said lie understood the commission's desire to protect the structure. He said he did not want the town to continue paying these bills after the house is repaired and reopened, however. Mr. Loving said since it is the town's building, he felt the conunission should be responsible for paying those bills. Nh-. D'Agostino said lie understood, but added the FY 2002 -2003 budget cuts may be deeper than originally thought. Several members met earlier in the month with Mr. D'Agostino to discuss possible budget cuts. The commission discussed each of its line items and where cuts could be made. Mr. D'Agostino requested the commission prepare a budget for FY 2002 -2003 showing three options: a level funded budget; a budget cut by 10 percent; and a budget cut by 15 percent. The security system and telephone for the Fisher - Richardson House will be budgeted under the Building Equipment/Supplies line item. The commission discussed the Card Chapel as a possibility for the National Register, as well as the possibility of a Historic District. Several local connuunities have recently outlined Historic Districts; the commission will investigate those. Motion: To adjourn at 8:30 p.m. (Parks- Nordbeck) All in favor.
