Motion: To approve as submitted
( Nordbeck- Sheaf) Four in favor. Martin abstained. PASSES
2. September 3, 2002 appointment letter from John D'Agostino to Mr. David Martin
3, September 4, 2002 appointment letter from Mr. D'Agostino to Joseph Unger
4. September 18, 2002 letter from Mr. D'Agostino to Mr. Wayne Whitaker thanking
him for his interest in the commission, but informing him the vacancies have been
filled.
5. August 30, 2002 letter from Brona Simon, State Archaeologist re: Mansfield
Municipal Airport — MHC has determined the site is not a significant historical
resource.
6. Bills paid on September 25, 2002 warrant to Verizon and Detection Technology
for FR House monitoring.

Mr. Loving has spoken with Mrs. McCarter, MBC secretary, and the archaeological
work has begun. So far, they have found some household items.
Mrs. Emma Scarpellini, representing the Springbrook Cemetery Association, said the
membership has voted unanimously to support the National Register project. She
gave the commission copies of several newspaper articles regarding the site.
Form E — Burial Ground
The commission discussed a few changes to the form.
Motion: To amend as discussed ( Nordbeck- Parks) All in favor. PASSES
Form B — Building
The commission discussed an article from the June 3, 1898 description of the chapel,
along with a September 5, 2002 letter from former commission member Kate Viens.
Motion: To include the Mansfield News June 3, 1898 description and the description
from Kate Viens's September 5, 2002 letter in the Form B information
( Nordbeck- Parks) All in favor. PASSES
Motion: To amend the Form B as discussed
(Parks - Nordbeck) All in favor. PASSES
To adjourn at 8:30 p.m.
