A meeting of the Mansfield School Committee was held at the Town Hall,,`
Room 3B & C on Tuesday, April 24, 2008. The meeting was opened with a
motion by Mr. Trowbridge, 2" by Mrs. Miller; a motion was made by the School
Committee to go into Executive Session, 2nd by Mrs. Miller, .Roll call vote, Jean
Miller, yes; Michael Trowbridge, yes; Frank Delvecchio, yes; Lisa Losiewicz, yes.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jean Miller at 7:35 PM.

Budget
After a lengthy and thoughtful discussion regarding individual items proposed to
be eliminated from the school budget the following items were deleted from the
FY'09 proposed budget:

The School Committee briefly went back into Executive Session @ 8:25 PM to
discuss personnel needs for FY'09. Upon returning to Open Session @ 8:35PM
the School Committee voted unanimously to retain the QMS Social Studies
position in the FY'09 budget.
Motion U.C. 4- 0
Citizens, Liz Christos and Ellen Whitney spoke briefly to the Committee before
adjourning for the evening. Mrs. Whitney voiced her disappointment that the
matter of instituting Fee's was not considered as a resolution. The Committee felt
that it -was not an option at this time.
Mrs. Hodges thanked everyone at the meeting along with the Concerned Citizens
of Mansfield, School Committee, Mr. Amoroso and Mr. Gazzolo, for all their hard
work in settling the School Budget. We were able to save 20 positions tonight.
Motion to adjourn
Motion was made to adjourn the School Committee Meeting of April 24,2008 at
8:45 PM for the sole put-pose of adjourning. Motion by Michael Trowbridge, 2 "d
