Plumbing vents are installed and inspected. Installation of trusses is complete. Contractor has provided temporary heat as required per contract. Woodard & Curran provided a letter (dated January 25, 2005) in response to the MBC's expressed concern that the roof sheathing and underlayment may still maintain moisture after having been exposed to winter weather conditions for an extended period of time. Discussion was as follows: • As a result of an on -site inspection of the roof on Wednesday, January 19, 2004 by Woodard & Curran staff (John Mallin and Resident Engineer Ralph Cunningham) determined that the roof sheathing and underlayment material installed was dry and acceptable for application of shingles. Bob Chapell provided photo documentation of the roof conditions observed that day to the MBC. • Standard installation practice is that the underlayment be installed if sheathing is exposed for a lengthy period of time. This was not done at the Water Treatment Facility. • MBC is not satisfied that potential mold issue would not occur. Chairman Liddick requested W &C obtain documentation from Hart and /or the shingle manufacturer confirming the sheathing system is dry and acceptable for shingle installation. HVAC — Mike Harrison from New England Piping indicated to the MBC via e-mail (dated Jan. 25, 2005) that Metalaire does not make, nor can they provide, an air - handling controller with their "Smart Diffusers" to work with the Andover System. Unless Sid Greenleaf knows of a unit compatible with Metalaire, Mr. Harrison will inform his subcontractors to furnish and install Titus "Smart Diffusers" per specifications. The MBC asked Bob Chapell to contact AEI and request Sid Greenleaf develop a sequence of operation with a clear protocol for tight set point settings in order to eliminate or minimize conflicts in heating and cooling systems. W &C needs to provide direction to N.E. Piping to proceed with work as submitted and approved by AEI.
