Minutes for Tuesday. August 10, 2010
Superintendent's Office — 2 Park Row
An Open Meeting of the Mansfield School Committee was held at the Superintendent's Office on
Tuesday, August 10, 2010. A motion to open the Open Meeting was made by Mr. Michael
Trowbridge, 2 "d by Mrs. Jean Miller with a roll call vote and called to order at 6:00 PM by
Chairman, Mr•. Michael Trowbridge. After returning from Executive Session the motion was made
by Mrs. Losiewicz, 2 "d by Mr. DelVecchio to re -enter the Open Session Meeting.
Members Present — roll call vote to open meeting:
Mr. Michael Trowbridge, Chairman - yes
Mr. Frank DelVecchio, Vice Chairman - yes
Mrs. Lisa Losiewicz yes
Mrs. Jean Miller yes
Also Present:
Mrs. Brenda Hodges, Superintendent of Schools
Not Present:
Mr. Jim Perry yes - Not Present
MHS Schedule:
Mr. Michael Trowbridge, Chairman of the School Committee, read the agreement between the
School Committee and the MEA regarding the high school schedule and asked for a motion to
approve the schedule.
Motion to approve the MHS schedule made by Mr. Frank DelVecchio, 2 "d by Mrs. Lisa Losiewicz.

Athletic Fee's 2010 - 2011:
The School Committee discussed the athletic fees for sports and cheerleading. A motion was made
by Mrs. Lisa Losiewicz to charge $125.00 for each sport & cheerleading with a family cap of
$400.00 per year.
Motion to approve the amounts for athletic fee's made by Mr. Losiewicz, 2 "d by Mr. DelVecchio.

User Fees for MHS Music Programs :
The School Committee discussed the fees for the band, drama, orchestra, choir and color guard.
Mrs. Lisa Losiewicz made the motion to assess a $50.00 fee for each of these activities with a
$400.00 cap per family for the year.
Motion to approve user fee's made by Mrs. Losiewicz, 2 "d by Mrs. Jean Miller.

A motion was made by Mrs. Jean Miller, 2 "d by Mrs. Lisa Losiewicz to adjourn the Open Session
Meeting of August 10, 2010 at 7:10 P.M. for the sole purpose of adjourning. A Roll call vote was
taken to close: Jean Miller, yes: Lisa Losiewicz, yes; Frank DelVecchio, yes: Michael Trowbridge,
yes.
