Zeffro Gianetti, Interim Superintendent of Schools /Candidate for Superintendent
Michael Trowbridge provided a history of the superintendent search. Twenty candidates were
considered; three were interviewed. Two finalists were notified that they were moving ahead. At that
time one of the finalists withdrew leaving Zeffro Gianetti as the sole candidate. At that time, Michael
Trowbridge approached the Consultant and asked if the School Committee could in some form receive a
reduction in the cost of the search if we proceeded on our own, running the remaining portion of the
irch. They responded positively saying they would reduce the cost by 30 percent, which equates to
close to $4000.00. Michael enlisted the help of committee members and Teresa Murphy in working out
logistics and agendas. He thanked Teresa and her staff, on behalf of the committee.
Various stakeholders in the Mansfield Community were asked to participate in several sessions this
morning. This allowed the committee an opportunity to hear from the participants as to how Mr. Gianetti
had interacted with them over the past three months in his role as the interim superintendent. It was
time well spent and our schools have been in great hands over the last few months.
