Meeting Minutes
October 7, 2010
Minutes of the meeting held by the Canoe River Aquifer Advisory Committee on
Thursday October 7, 2010 beginning at 1:00 PM at the Sharon Community Center,
1 Community Drive, Sharon, MA.
Members Present: Wayne P. Southworth, Easton; David Masciarelli, Sharon; Robert
Boette, Foxboro; Kevin O'Donnell, Mansfield; John Fresh Jr. Easton
Guest Present: Adrienne Edwards; Easton.
L Call to Order:
Wayne Southworth: called the meeting to order at 1:OOpm
Il. Review Minutes of September 2, 2009:
Kevin: corrections of minutes:
Section V. Line 10: remove #6 replace with #10, remove year replace with
this summer
Line 11: add after pump 60 Million more in 2010 compared to 2009, remove
72 replace with 30
Line 12: add after "ground water is" the following "but we are below the
pumps threshold." Remove "all the rovers have dried up" and replace with
Witch Pond Swamp is dried up.
Minutes accepted after corrections.
I11. Open Space Map & Greenbelt Update:
Lenny: greenbelt map is missing parcels to review. The Mansfield Open
Space Map will show all parcels online. Still needs updating.
IV. Recap Sharon Water Energy Fair Held on September 25, 2010:
David & Adrienne: went very well, was worthwhile and a lot of interesting
things to see.
V. New Business:
Wayne: passed around letter from DEP regarding the "Newland St, Norton"
final approval to Newland Farms, allowing agriculture waste from Ocean
Spray.
David: Discussion of Water Permit Management.
VI. Old Business:
Wayne: discussion on the CRAAC 25 °i Anniversary. The committee has lead
time to plan something some ideas and maybe get some type of donations.
Discussion: Awareness Day may be held during an Open House with fellow
Water Departments.
Kevin: discussed with the committee about how agendas are now held under
very strict rules in accordance with the Open Meeting Law.
Meeting adjourned at 1:35pm
Next meeting will be held in Foxboro on November 4, 2009
