1. CALL TO ORDER — Southworth called the meeting to order at I PM.
2. Review Minutes of December 1, 2011 — Masciarelli and Potter moved to accept the
minutes of December 1, 2012 with the following correction: item #7 in the discussion portion,
"their" should be changed to "there." VOTED
3. Open Space Map & Greenbelt Update — nothing to report.
4. CRAAC Website Presentation — Adrienne Edwards — Adrienne displayed each page of
the website, including bios, links, history of CRAAC.
Discussion — Adrienne explained that she is fine- tuning the website and asked attendees for input
regarding additions /deletions to the website; suggestions included additional links; new photos of
members; updating and adding to contact lists; map and CRAAC timeline updates. Flynn: will
draft paragraph regarding conservation/land trust to add to site; Adrienne will add photographs
taken by Jenn Carlino.
5. CRAAC Member Photos — During the Website Presentation, several CRAAC members
had their bio photos taken by Jack Marsh.
6. CRAAC Library Discussion — Wayne Southworth discussed the books, brochures and
documents relating to Canoe River that are housed in the Water Division building. While there
are no plans at this time to revamp the library, he would welcome suggestions regarding
expansion and other changes. Wayne believes it is important to make people aware it exists as
the information found there could be helpful resources to students and others interested in Canoe
River. A page about the library will be added to the website.
7. Annual Canoe River Aquifer Awareness Day April 28, 2012 — This year the event will
mark the 125th anniversary of Easton Water and will be held at the Easton Water Division
Building in conjunction with the Water Division Open House.
8. Discuss the Program for the CRAAC 251" Anniversary Celebration at the Sharon
Community Center on September 14, 2012 — Southworth: Ed Tartufo has tried to reach out to
Congressman Bill Keating in follow up to our invitation for him to be Guest Speaker. He has not
been successful in reaching him. Wayne spoke to David Terry, DEP Drinking Water Program
Director, about his being the Guest Speaker and he agreed to do so. A formal invitation letter
will be sent to Mr. Terry. Masciarelli and Boette moved to send a formal invitation letter to Mr.
Terry. VOTED. The invitation list for the 20 "' anniversary celebration in 2007 will be revisited.
9. Adjourn — motion to adjourn made by Leo Potter and seconded by Dave Masciarelli. Mr.
Southworth adjourned the meeting at 2:00 PM.
The next meeting will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Sharon Community Center
Conference Room.
