still needs to be trapped, 2 cat traps that were loaned out are missing; efforts are being made
to track them down.

Revisions are being reviewed. The next step will be to arrange preliminary meetings with
Town officials and develop a committee to develop updated by -laws.
Animal Shelter Building Project:
We have not heard back from the architect fiom ACES.
Publicity:
June 2 the Mansfield Preservation Trust celebration at Great Woods. The shelter will
have a table at the event.
The website has been updated. Diane will send website link to all committee members
each time it is updated.
ShelterNolunteer Issues:
• There is a need to keep mining for more volunteers. There is a need for a person on
Tuesday evenings. Additional people are needed on the weekend to cover for people
participating in adoption clinics and other projects. There is also the need to cover for
people who will be going on vacation.
Old Business:
• Spay /neuter program. Tim updated the committee on the progress of scheduling
appointments for animals as soon as they arrive at the shelter. Very successful 100% of
the eligible animals at the shelter have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated prior to
adoption for the past four weeks. Tim has made up a spreadsheet for the transporting of
animals.
• Software. There will need to be time invested hi training volunteers to use the computer
software. Though there will need to be an investment of time in training users and
entering information into the system, the shelter will benefit from the uniformity of
information kept on the animals.
New Business:
• Adoptions at Petco. Went well, store manager in Attleboro has requested that we do
them more frequently than the once a month that was originally planned.
• Celebration of Animals, event to be held rain or shine Saturday August 18.
Animal Health and Welfare:
• Vet guidelines for volunteers are to be developed and made a part of the P &P. Updated
P &P will be distributed to all volunteers,
• Drake an adopted dog will undergo his heartworm treatment under the care of his adopted
family's vet.
• Magnum will be undergoing hip surgery. He will board at Betsy's office for a week for
rehab and then return to the shelter.
