show.
Animal Health and Welfare
• 9 cats tested positive for Ringworm and are in quarantine. 3 of these cats may be
clean next week.
We are moving to dipping the cats instead of oral medication
• Sadie went back to neurologist and she has had bood iprovement except on her right
leg. The doctor says of may take 8 months to improve to 80 %, but could recover
faster. An adopter definitely wants to adopt her and care for her. Windover Vet clinic
in Walpoele will give her the pool therapy that has been recommended. Windover
will provide therapy at no charge due to her being a shelter dog.
Old Business:
• Shelter vets. Dr Trapanni will finish only the ringworm cats currently being treated.
All new health issues with any animals in the shelter must go to Dr Sohn or Foxboro
Animal Clinic.
New Business:
• Stacey Howard was elected to fill the Vice - Chairman position.
• Wendy Pruell whose term on the board will begin in January will be resonsible for
Fundraising.
• All other committee responsiblities remain the same.
• Fostering: Three members of the AWC must agree to the need to foster an animal,
and agree on the person that will be doing the fostering, Jeff Collins must alos be
appraised of the fostering as well. The appropraite records must be completed prior
to fostering an animal. Jayme will ask the volunteers if they have an interest in
fostering and give interested individuals a brief overview of what it entails. Besty will
then have a more indepth converstation with the volunteers before they actually
begin fostering.
