The Animal Welfare Committee meeting was called to order at 7:40 at the Mansfield Town Hall.
Minutes
Motion: To approve minutes from the August 16th meeting. Passes
Dogs
Rocky — Jeff will follow up on getting vet records and history on Rocky. Shar Pei Rescue might be
contacted.
Celebration of Animals
Ana is tallying profits and expenses for the Celebration, and will report later.
• Jeff suggested having a police canine unit at the next Celebration.
Spay Waggin
Next date: Monday, 9/24/07.
AWC Vacancy
Wendy Foley will follow up for the alternate AWC position that is now vacant.
Volunteers
New volunteers, especially teens, need more direction and instruction on standard procedures than shift
captains have time to give. Jeff volunteered to visit the shelter occasionally in the evening. Mary, Sharon,
Sally, et.al. might also make visits.
