The Animal Welfare Committee meeting was called to order at 7:35 at the Mansfield Town Hall.
Minutes
Motion: To approve minutes fiom the September 20th meeting. Passes
Dogs
Reno — visited by Trainer Beverly Orleans. Her assessment: Reno is very smart and knows commands.
She recommends taking him to the pen and working on commands for 30 minutes before walking him.
Make him sit, then give him his toy. Working with him on the leash so that he doesn't pull is important
too.
Jersey — vet appointment set for next Wednesday for dental work, blood work, and spay surgery.
Cats
Stormy — because of old age and ill health, Stormy will be PTS.
Spay Waggin
December S.W is cancelled. Next date: January `08
Maintenance
In heavy rainstorms the roof over the hall in the cat room leaks, dripping water on to one of the cat cages.
Cost of repairing the roof would be $5,000, and will not be done.
