The Animal Welfare Committee meeting was called to order at 7:35 at the Mansfield Town Hall.
Minutes
Motion: To approve minutes from the May `08 meeting. Passes
Spay Waggiu
Next date: June 23rd
Celebration of Animals - Sept. 27th
• Dog Trainers /Agility Demonstrations — Vanessa's contact will not be able to attend; no
other trainers have committed to coming
• Mary listed animal groups and vendors who have committed to come
*Ana will contact Stacy for raffle/auction items
• Web advertising will start mid - August
Air Race at Mansfield Airport (June 28 — 29)
There is adequate volunteer coverage for the shelter booths. MSF tents will be used.
Dogs
Sheba: Karen will take Sheba to Windhover A.H. on Monday for another exam. When test results
are in someone will notify Rusty Palmer who is interested in adopting.
Brutus: Jeff observed that Brutus is still losing weight. It could be his hyperactivity and stress, but
Karen will talk with Windhover vets when she goes there next week.
Shelter Maintenance
Jeff had the Town install a dedicated line for the office air conditioner so that both the AC and the
computer can ran at the same time.
Jeff noticed that the roof leak in the cat hallway is getting worse. He will have the Town make
repairs after July 1', when the new fiscal year begins.
Storage Shed
Cages at the entry way of the shed make it difficult to walk into the shed to get equipment or
suipplies. Jeff will move some of the cages to the furnace basement, or discard them if they are
not usable. Jeff will look into getting a second storage shed.

Willowdale Golf Tournament
This year's tournament will be held on August 91e. Mary will sign up volunteers.
Adoption Applications
Board members were asked to study a revised version, and return with comments at the next
meeting.
