The Animal Welfare Committee meeting was called to order at 7:30 at the Mansfield Town Hall.
Minutes
Motion: To approve minutes from the July `08 meeting. Passes
Spay Waggin
Next date: Monday Sept. 22
Adoptions /Surrenders etc.
• Snowball was returned to the shelter and should be checked for a UTl
• Sasha will be PTS this week because of bite history
• Maggie Mae has medical issues that will be identified before she can be adopted
Celebration of Animals - Sept. 27th
• T- Shirts & Sweat Shbis: Mary will place an order for quantities discussed.
*Banner: Mary will get the date changed and Ana will check the town's schedule of
events.
•Ana will place volunteer sign -up sheets at the shelter
*Ana will contact Carol to ask if she is making the Celebration map this year
*Abbey will hold a separate raffle, with higher raffle ticket prices, for the quilt her
mother made.
*Mary will check the quantity of art contest sheets left from last year
• Sharon's exchange student will create balloon figures at .50ea. or three for $1.00.
Air Conditioner in Quarantine Room
Volunteers have been complaining about an unpleasant odor in the Quarantine Room that they
think is coming from the AC. Both the removable filter and the underlying grille were cleaned
this past week. The odor became noticeable after work was done on the roof.
Adoption Application
The revised Adoption Application was approved, and Sharon will print some and bring them to
the shelter.
