The Annual Welfare Committee meeting was called to order at 7:35 p.m. at the Mansfield Town
Hall.
Approve Minutes
Motion: To approve minutes from March 18, 2010. Passes.
Fpstered Cats
Rpsalie will return to the shelter on June 5ie. Sharon might foster Koosh at that time.
Dogs
1 he procedure for giving Frontline and Heart(Juard: Atter the ten day hold, Doris will Frontline
dogs and note the Frontline date on the dog's cage chart. After dogs have been to the vet for a
combo test, Jeff will give HeartGuard and note the date on the cage chart.
Lucas, originally adopted by MPD dispatcher Jettery Moreau, has been adopted by MFD otttcer
Tracy Judah, who will have him neutered.
Volunteers Medicating Animals
Motion: To adopt Ana's suggestion that volunteers be 18 years or older to order to give
medications to animals. This age restriction does not apply to medications given in pill pockets or
in wet food.

Celebration of Animals 9/11/2010
Sharon has contacted Robin Croce to ask her to start inviting vendors and rescues to the
Celebration.
New Shelter Update
•14VAU continues to be installed slowly because workers don't come every aay.
*The base coat of pavement has been put down on the parking lot.
• Covidien expects to start their budding project m tlirce to tour weeks, which means that
they will be available then to help finish the interior of the new building.
Spay/Neuter Calls
For people who have adopted animals that are due to be spayed or neutered, Mary is calling and
emailing each month to give them information on the ARL Spay Waggin locations and dates.
Maintenance
the outside cat door does not close or lock easily. It has to be slammed closed. Jett thinks there
might be a problem with the lock, and lie will ask Mike Ahern to look at it.
Sharon enquired about getting a replacement tray for the newest cat cage because the tray is
cracked. Mary will check pricing.
