The Animal Welfare Committee meeting was called to order at 7:35 p.m. at Mansfield Airport.
Approve Minutes
Motion: To approve minutes from July 21", 2011. Passes.
Foster Kitten Report
Harding Litter —These five kittens will be coming to the shelter on Saturday.
Medical
Mcjito — The surgeon who is donating her time is still not filly back from maternity leave. Lori
will follow -up.
Fire Cats
Roberta had planned to move her cats out of the shelter on Friday. However, since she still has no
sink or refrigeration, Lori and Sharon asked her to wait until she is better prepared to
care for the cats at home. Lori volunteered to help Roberta set up the room where they
will be housed. Justine also offered to help.
ACO Report
Jeff reported that chain stores are unwilling to set up accounts with the town, so he will continue
to get food at Ferestein's.

Shelter Maintenance
According to Jeff, the guillotine kennel door that had been stuck, is now working satisfactorily.
Mike Ahern has ordered air filters for the cattery. There is a chart in the utility room indicating
intervals at which the filter should be checked or changed.
Misc.
Sheldon the kitten has not been adopted. Since Sheldon is female, we'll change her name on the
web and other records to a female name, with the hope that she'll find a home soon.
Mr. Puggtes has an application from a family whose dog seems too aggressive towards Puggles,
so the application will be denied.
