Foster Kitten & Cat Report s'
• Sharon: Button has an approved application and will go home after Christmas.
• Emily: Simon, the diabetic cat, is still having his meds regulated. Lori will email Erika
information on type of meter and insulin, and Erika might be able to provide it for
Emily to do testing. Emily also has four kittens that need to recover from diarrhea.
*Maria: The six kittens are about seven weeks old, and don't yet weigh enough to get
shots.
Fire Cats
Roberta will be moving her cats back home on Tuesday, 12120, and Jeff and Lori will help her
transport them. After their departure, volunteers will bleach/wash the playroom, paint where
necessary, and replace carpeting and door screens.
Ana suggested giving one or two of the old cat cages to Roberta in case she needs to occasionally
quarantine a sick cat.

ACO Report
*To save heat and money, Jeff requested that the dogs' guillotine doors be closed when
the temperature goes to 30 degrees or lower.
*Pets in Limbo Out There (PILOT) — At the end of January there will be an all -day,
weekday training session related to working with and relocating aggressive dogs in
Massachusetts locations, from shelters that have an overabundance to shelters that
don't. Jeff will provide details fro volunteers who are interested in attending.
*This Friday there will be a training session at the shelter for basic clicker and
aggression training, presented by the trainer who is working with Foxboro dog,
Peaches. Several volunteers have signed up to attend.
Shelter Maintenance
*Mary will remove the screen doors in the playrooms and have them rescreened at True
Value, using the heavy duty screening we already have. Don will put clear plastic
over the bottom part of the screens.
•Jeff will have the screws replaced on the plastic flap in the last kennel.
• Chuck removed the dryer hose and checked it for lint. This was the first check since
we've been in the new shelter.
*Ana ordered wall dispensers for hand sanitizers. Stacy is providing free nightlights
from her workplace.
•MSF bought ten new cat cages to replace older cages, which were difficult to clean.
Chuck will pick up the cages at the Billerica PetEdge warehouse.
Free Kitty Litter
Jeff has contacted the Foxboro Terminal regarding free litter that is available for weekly pickup.
Shelters leaved marked containers which are filled with litter from broken bags.
Pet Memorial Eagle Scout Project
Stephanie Putnam's son presented his Eagle Scout project for creating a pet memorial area on the
dog side of the shelter. His diagrams and illustrations show a mulched area where memorial
stones will go, a bench and walkway, and raised border around the area. The memorial stones
would be a fundraiser for the shelter. Cole will organize the project during the winter and start
construction in the spring, after receiving approval from his scout masters.
Motion: To Approve the Pet Memorial Project (Mary/Carol). Passes: 510.
