The Animal Welfare Committee meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. at Mansfield Airport.
Approve Minutes
Motion: To approve minutes from December 15, 2011. Passes.
Foster Kitten & Cat Report
• Sharron: Button has an approved application and might go home this weekend.
• Bmily: Simon, the diabetic cat, is doing well.
*Maria: Three of her six kittens remain, and two might have homes lined up.
Fire Cats
Lori and Chuck have been helping Roberta medicate and care for her cats now that they are back
in their own home.
ACO Report
*Jeff will visit Foxboro Terminal to check on accumulation of flee litter.
*Bella, a golden mix, is from Foxboro but will probably be signed over to the shelter
soon.

Miscellaneous
*Lori reported that the Council on Aging will provide free or low -cost rides to seniors
needing to take pets to the three local vets. Animals must be either leashed or in
carriers.
• Lori asked that we check to see if Lysine is being given to the cats each morning to
help prevent upper respiratory infections.
