Approve Minutes Motion: To approve minutes from April 19, 2012, Passes. Foster Animal Report *Chuck: Chuck has been able to lower Best Buddy's glucose level enough through diet so that insulin isn't necessary. Betty is on DM food, and her insulin level has come down from 684 to 363. Chuck will do a glucose check and start a low dose of insulin. Erika recommended Lantos for insulin because it offers a higher rate of remission, lasts longer, and is therefore more economical. *Emilie: Bisco is due to have babies any time. ACO Report • Lilly — Sue Thibedeau requests that only volunteers who have had clicker training should walk Lilly. Jeff said it's ok to let Lilly out in the pen with Lucy. *Oscar's stool sample was negative for coccidia; Felix will be retested tomorrow; Flora will have stitches removed tomorrow. *Nelson is back at the shelter; his owner is once again incapacitated. Page I of 2 Pet Memorial Garden *Cole Putnam completed the Pet Memorial Garden, which looks beautif 1. He came to the meeting for Sharon to sign completion papers to be submitted for Eagle Scout credit. •Lori recommended contacting landscapers for donations of flat rocks. • Stephanie has an engraving tool that she will try on rocks that Tammy will bring to the shelter. Stephanie also plans to get bamboo matting to wrap around the meters near the garden to hide them from view. •Jeff offered to get a lattice screen at Home Depot to hide the yellow bollards. • Rocco —Jeff is concerned that his energy level, jumping, and mouthing could cause problems. Carol will look into a pit rescue, but if that fails, MSF will pay for neutering and allow time for Rocco to calm down prior to adoption. Erika recommended possible use of behavior modification drugs to help with the process. Shelter Maintenance •Infirmary — The window lock is broken, and probably requires a replacement lock. The valence above the vertical blinds is putting out of the ceiling. • Kennel Flaps — Lilly has chewed the kernel flap in her cage. Jeff suggested buying a few replacement flaps to have on hand. Mary will provide ordering information for Jeff to submit to the town. Adjournment Motion: To adjourn. Passes Adjourned: 8:10 p.m. of Page 2 of 2 6 /a( Date
