Foster Animal Report
• Sharon's foster kittens will come to the shelter a week fiom Saturday, after they have a second
clear culture. Two have approved adoption applications. All will be spayed/neutered and have
all vaccinations before coming to the shelter.
• Ulysses is doing fine, but might need an additional stitch. Emilie's husband is fostering.
ACO Report
• A local vet offered to hold weekly rabies clinics at the shelter. The consensus was that since
Petco already hold clinics it's not necessary to do it at the shelter.
• Jeff will provide forms for incident reports for shift captains to use, if necessary.
• Rocco — Shawn will be in to provide training, and Jeff is in touch with Pittie Love, hoping to
find a foster home where there are no other dogs.
• Buddy Roo —Jeff will have the lump examined to see if it is just a fatty deposit. Erika
recommended an amino acid that relieves anxiety during transition to the shelter.
• Goldie — has shown marked improvement with fluids and coeds. Jeff and Chuck will continue
giving fluids. Erika will write a prognosis sheet for potential adopters.
Miscellaneous
• Erika brought in her PowerPoint training presentation, which is composed of three to four, one
hour sessions. She will look into creating voice -over for a CD. Chuck suggested using
Mansfield Cable Access to create CDs, which volunteers could watch at the shelter. The CDs
would also be used as training for new volunteers. Sharon will advise Erika on procedures
that are specific to the shelter.
• In accordance with the new MA law, MAS will raise the spay /neuter deposit to $40. Sharon will
change the figure on shelter forms. Mary will adjust the website and reception bulletin board.
