The Animal Welfare Committee meeting was called to order at 7:35 p.m. at Mansfield Airport.
Approve Minutes
Motion: To approve minutes from January 16, 2014. Passes.

Veterinary Issues
• Mr. Max is adjusting to insulin. Erika has changed his diet to EVO duck.
• Matty is recovering nicely from two broken legs, and will soon be ready to be posted on
the web.
• Erika will take Mr. Max and Minkota on Sunday to do a glucose curve. She will also
give a distemper booster to Minkota.
• Bristol (new dog) tested positive for heartworm and will be treated.
• Mary will contact Precious' owner to get permission to spay and vaccinate the cat.
• Erika suggested that dog volunteers should wear gloves when cleaning urine or feces to
avoid getting leptospirosis.

• Carol Kosel will evaluate the storage in the dog prep room, and let us know if she
thinks an extra shelf would help.
• Ana will buy two thermostat panels at Home Depot to replace the ones in the
cattery and kennel that have broken buttons.
• The security connection near the front window, in the large playroom, is still
hanging loose.
ACO Report
When we have no Mansfield dogs, Jeff prefers helping local shelter by taking occasional
dogs.
