Approve Minutes
Motion: To approve minutes from March 20, 2014. Passes.
Shelter Maintenance
• The security contacts are still hanging loose in the large playroom.
Miscellaneous
• Former volunteer Mattia Diamond works for Petsmart in Walpole. They have offered to
groom shelter dogs at no charge. Jeff gave permission for grooming well behaved dogs.
• Sharon definitely has barn placement for Kristy, and she will work on the transfer over
the next few weeks.
• Nikki, owned by Mansfield resident Linda Petrowski, was accidentally neutered when
sedated for an exam. Jeff requested that Nikki not return to the shelter for observation,
but be returned to his owner. MSF has paid extensively for vet expenses, including blood
work, x -rays, and dental work, since the owner can't afford vet care.
• Ana asked if Jeff could expedite the MSPCA evaluation process for Granite, both for
Granite's sake, and so that we can use the quarantine area for Bristol's heartworm
treatment.

ACO Report
• Toppy the boxer mix is on hold, and will probably be taken by the owner's sister, who
will come up from Virginia. Toppy has contagious mange, and is being treated. Jeff
stated that Toppy can be walked as usual, but volunteers should wash their hands, and
discard the dog's bedding.
• The two small Foxboro dogs, Daisy and Rosy, may eventually become MAS dogs, up for
adoption, after Sue Thibedeau works out legal issues.
• Jeff has $2K in a gift fund for the shelter. The money will transfer to a town account if
not spent by June 30t11. Suggestion for spending the money included kitty litter, a dog
scale, guillotine door replacements, window grilles for a couple of cattery windows, and
paying MAH veterinary expenses.
