The Animal Welfare Committee meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. at Mansfield Airport.
Approve Minutes
Motion: To approve minutes from May 15, 2014. Passes.
Shelter Maintenance
• After Sharon noticed teens climbing into the dog pen, Jeff spoke with Mike and Gary
about closing the gap in the fence.
Fostered Animals
• Karen Prevett's two kittens are still hissy, but are becoming more socialized.
• Sharon Baker's two kittens are doing well.
Veterinary
• Bristol is doing well in her third week of heartworm treatment.
• Erika plans to come to the shelter on Monday to check the diet and weight of several cats.

ACO Report
• Jeff bought a pallet of kitty litter and stored it in the shed.
• Jeff suggested that if volunteers who are walking dogs see coyotes, they should make
noise, clap their hands, and throw stones; coyotes rarely attack people.
Miscellaneous
• Sharon will redo the dog cage tag form to make it larger to accommodate a
Heartguard/Frontline schedule.
• Erika said she can get Heat tguard and Frontline at cost.
