Walter Wilk would like to assemble a DPW Garage and Public Safety Complex Committee to better
articulate information to the public. Steve Schoonveld says Town Manager would have to create the
committee and the committee would help as "project managers ".

s Visual Budget Program
Discussion on Arlington's Visual Budget Program will be better presented at the next Finance Committee
Meeting and use the projector for a better effect.
The Finance Committee's Position on User Fees
Bill Clemmey, 55 Fowler Street, Mansfield, wanted explained what user fees were being discussed. John
tanbrook explained it was just to open discussion on user fees whether we reduce user fees and increase
taxes or keep user fees and reduce taxes.
Mr. Clemmey talked about discussions he has had with Town Manager on police details at the train station.
The Finance Committee has no involvement with this at this time.
Mr. Clemmey is invited to attend the presentation of the DPW Budget and ask any questions he may have
on the parking enterprise budget.
John Stanbrook states that some foreclosures are getting ready for auction in July or August. There is
technically a $1.3 million value at auction. John Stanbrook would like the Finance Committee to think about
what they would like to do with the money. It would come in as free cash.
Individual Finance Committee Members Items and Discussions
James Bazinet would like John Stanbrook to look into splitting the budget into discretionary and non-
discretionary. Walter Wilk would like to see John Stanbrook focus on closing out tax liens and making
money for the Town.
