On Thursday, April 17, 2003 the FinCom held a meeting with Andy Gazzolo, M&c'
Sams, Charlene Lavin, Jim Lazzara, Jack Goldberg and Jeff Lang in attendance.

The meeting commenced with a presentation by the Jack Sullivan of the engineering
department relative to a reserve fund transfer request for $8500.00 to fund an
environmental site assessment for a parcel located at 11 Shawmut Avenue. The FinCom
voted 4 -1 with one abstention in favor of the reserve fund transfer.
FinCom then discussed Andy Gazzolo ;s memo to the town and the need to review town
meeting articles.
Andy Gazzolo and Jim Lazzara presented a brief rundown of the highlights of the April
15 meeting hosted by John Moretti for local parents to discuss school issues. There was
no FinCom meeting on this Tuesday evening.
The FinCom briefly discussed concerns relative to making the Sewer department into an
enterprise account. Currently, FinCom may not support this item.
Andy Gazzolo noted that reviewed the FinCom 04 budget plan with town finance team
officials. Town staff furnished updates on efforts to cut costs with insurance expense
reductions and weekly shutdowns.
FinCom also reviewed expense cuts to date indicated by the School Department.
The meeting was completed with a brief discussion on proposed use of the Stabilization
fund in meeing budget requirements.
April 10
On April 10, FinCom members Andy Gazzolo, Jeff Lang, Jim Lazzara and Jack Goldberg
met very briefly to quickly review the 04 budget proposal set to be presented on the 151x'
of April. Np other activities were conducted.
