July 3, 2003

Chairman Gazzolo called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m.
APPROVED (5 -0): Request for transfer from reserve fund for $8,000 for heat
APPROVED (5 -0): Request for transfer from reserve fund for $11,000 for highway electric
Discussion regarding general budget matters. The vocational school's budget and the Town
of Mansfield's assessment was discussed. An open letter will be published to inform
residents on the vocational school budget matter.
Discussion regarding how the Fincom would have more access to the Selectmen to review
financial matters.
An email will be sent to the Selectmen to remind them of agreements that cause the 1s`
$400,000 of free cash and $200,000 from the School Department4frevert to Stabilization.
Discussion regarding the Fincom's belief that a greater involvement in the Electric
Department's budget is appropriate.
Jeffrey Lang's resignation from the Fincom was read and accepted (4 -0). Professional
opportunities in New York required that he and his family relocate. All members were asked
to give consideration to find a replacement for him.
The Fincom will extend an invitation to the Cable Access Board to review and discuss their
budget.
On a motion that was duly made and seconded, it was:
VOTED (4 -0): to approve the minutes of the May 13, 2003 and June 5, 2003 meetings.
On a motion that was duly made and seconded, it was:
VOTED (4 -0): to adjourn the meeting at 8:30pm
