Present: James Lazzara, Jack Goldberg, Charlene Lavin
Chairman Gazzolo called the meeting to order at 7:08pm.
On a motion that was duly made and seconded, it was
VOTED (4 -0): to accept the minutes of the meetings of October 23 and November 4, 2003
In response to a request from Chaimian Gazzolo, Charlene Lavin volunteered to serve as the fmcom
representative on a newly formed 40B committee.
Discussed the fincom correspondence to the Board of Selectmen regarding the budget timeline. A
correspondence from John D'Agostino was read indicating there may be sonic delay in getting the
municipal side budget. Chairman Gazzolo will respond and request an earlier production of the budgets.
In addition, lie will set up workshops with the Selectmen to determine their priorities so that these matters
can be reflected in the budgets.
Discussed the 5 -year budget project. Chairman Gazzolo indicated he would distribute a format to all
fmcom members in a very short period of time.
Discussed the meeting held by the vocational school representatives. Those in attendance concluded it did
not reveal sufficient details about the assessment formula. As a result, a representative will come to -
meeting in Mansfield to explahi the formula on November 24, 2003.
The mid -year supplemental budget from the state was discussed. It contained no help for local towns.
Chairman Gazzolo read a request from the fire chief requesting fimding for a specific improvement to a
firehouse. No action was taken.
Discussed the meeting with Light Dept. representatives. Follow up questions and requests for additional
information will be made according to a time frame that will allow the fincom to make recommendations to
the Light Commissioners as they consider that department's budget.
On a motion that was duly made and seconded, it was:
Voted to adjourn the meeting at 8:05pm.
