Present: Charlene Lavin, James Lazzara, Jack Goldberg, Jess Aptowitz, Frank
DelVecchio, John D'Agostino, Bea Kearney
Call to order at 7:45 p.m.
Bea made a presentation regarding 4 budget transfer requests.
On a motion duly made and seconded, it was:
VOTED (6 -0): to approve the transfer requests.
The Fincom requested from Bea an estimate of the total exposure for vested
compensation related benefits such as sick pay and vacation pay.
On a motion duly made and seconded, it was:
VOTED (6 -0): to approve a reserve fund transfer of $92,556.89 for winter maintenance
(snow & ice removal)
Andy began a discussion regarding the need and appropriateness of a new board that
would advise the Board of Selectman on matters related to independent audit services. A
draft proposal was reviewed and it was suggested that information on what some other
towns do would be helpful. Frank and Jim indicated they may be able to locate such
information and pass it along to Jack to incorporate into the proposal.
On a motion duly made and seconded, it was:
VOTED (5 -0 -1): to accept the minutes of the May 18, 2004 meeting
On a motion duly made and seconded, it was:
VOTED: to adjourn the meeting at 8:30 p.m.
